This build is one that we hold close to our hearts. This 2004 STI was brought to us many years ago by a great customer of ours named John. It had an interesting turbo kit on it and wasn't running right. We built the shortblock, changed the turbo/fuel setup and John beat the crap out of the car as a daily driver for a few years.
We ended up purchasing the car from him as he wasn't using it and was travelling often for work. It needed some serious TLC and sat on the backburner for us as we had other projects going on as well as day to day customer work. Unfortunately John passed away shortly after we acquired the car.
Everyone at the shop agreed the car needed to restored to the way he had always envisioned it. This is where our "restoration" began. How the car came to us:
We pulled the engine, did a complete refresh and reverted the car back to stock with basic bolt ons and a protune from Alex at Boost Controlled Performance. From here we began repairing rust, changing OEM parts to new/cleaner units and prepped the car for paint.
The car was handed over to our team at the collision shop. They knocked it out of the park with a complete respray in Volkswagen white silver metallic.

We had such a blast bringing this car to a state we knew John always wanted it to sit. From here we completed a suspension/mechanical overhaul, enjoyed the car for a couple months and listed the car for sale. It now lives in the Greater Toronto Area with its new owner.
