Hey guys, my name is Drew and I'm the co-owner and business operator here(as well as the writer for all these posts) and here is my personal STI's build story. Multiple different setups including interior, exterior and mechanical have led this car to how it sits today.
The Beginning
The car came into my possession in nearly stock form. Minor bolt ons, an Exedy clutch and built short block got the build started. This didn't last long as I switched up the engine bay, added new coilovers, some exterior styling and new Work XD9 wheels in bright white. This setup lasted no longer than a couple years before the next makeover..
Going Off The Deep End
Things really started to heat up here, the body work took right off with a Cusco front lip, RPG carbon front flares, LIC rear flares, JDM WRX side skirts and an INGS rear bumper. New Work XD9 wheels were acquired and powdercoated a custom bronze mated up to Michelin Pilot Sports. Suspension was overhauled with new coilovers, sway bars, end links, mounts and more. Engine bolt ons varied with few upgrades. Sparco Evo2 seats installed in rare navy blue spec.
Chasing Perfection
Something didn't sit right with me, version three was started. I acquired a set of original Karlton flares from NASIOC, OEM bumpers, HKS carbon diffuser and HT Auto's lip kit. The car was completely resprayed in Bayside Blue from the R34 GTR.
It didn't stop there. The car was switched to a custom air ride setup featuring Airlift struts and a custom manual management system controlled through OEM+ features in the cockpit. The engine was overhauled and upgraded with every possible part ranging from custom fuel system and external wastegate to intercooler and speed density tuning. So many additional modifications were added over the years that helped make the car what it is today. You may see it aired out in front of the shop from time to time..
All vehicles at the shop are interchangeable. You will see many come and go over the years but the red and blue blobeye STI's will remain the same..
